Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22.JUN.2025. Now & Next (“we” or “our”) is a blog hosted on Wix. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit our site. It applies to all visitors (especially users in the US and around the world). Currently, we do not collect personal data through user accounts or comments (these features are not active yet). We use Google AdSense for ads and may add comment/login features in the future. This policy covers (1) what information we collect (now and possibly later), (2) our use of cookies, (3) third‑party services (like Wix and Google AdSense), (4) data retention, and (5) your rights. We aim to keep this clear and simple.
Information We Collect
• No personal data collected now: We do not ask you to register, log in, or provide personal information. At present, we only get minimal technical data automatically, such as your IP address or basic device info, as part of normal web traffic. For example, our host Wix may log aggregated site usage (pages you view, browser type, operating system, and timestamps) to help run and improve the site. This data is not used to identify you personally but only to see how visitors use the blog.
• Future features: If we later add user accounts, comments, or other interactive features, we will only collect the information you voluntarily provide (e.g. name, email, username) when you sign up or post. We will clearly explain any new data collection at that time and update this policy accordingly.
Use of Cookies and Tracking
Now & Next and its service providers use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience: small data files stored on your device. Wix’s platform uses cookies for core functions – for example, to make the site work, remember settings, analyze performance, and keep the site secure. We also display ads via Google AdSense. Google and its partners use advertising cookies to show you relevant ads based on your visit history. These cookies do not personally identify you to us; they simply help match ads to your interests. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may limit some features (for example, it may stop ads from being personalized).
Use of Cookies and Tracking
Now & Next uses third-party services to operate and monetize the site. We do not sell any products. The key third parties are:
• Wix (website host): Our site is built and hosted on Wix. Wix provides the technical platform (hosting, databases, site features). Any data related to site operation is stored on Wix’s secure servers behind firewalls. Wix’s own privacy policy (available on wix.com) governs how they handle data. In practice, this means Wix may process some aggregated visitor data (see “Information We Collect” above) but Wix does not share your personal data with us except as needed to run the website.
• Google AdSense (advertising): We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google (and its advertising partners) uses cookies and web beacons to deliver ads based on what it learns about your visits to our site and other sites. For example, if you visit certain pages, Google may later show you related ads. We do not share your personal details with Google; the data involved is limited to your interaction with ads (clicks, pages viewed). Google allows you to opt out of personalized ads (for instance, via your Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info).
• Other providers: If we add any new services (like analytics tools or social media widgets) in the future, they will be covered by their own policies. We will update this section when that happens.
Data Retention
Because we currently collect almost no personal data, we retain very little. Any technical or cookie data from Wix or Google is kept only as long as needed to serve its purpose. For example, Wix indicates it retains personal information only for the time necessary to provide and improve its services. We follow a similar approach: we will keep any personal data (if we collect it in the future) only as long as needed for the feature it supports (such as maintaining your user account or comment history). After that, data will be deleted or anonymized.
Your Rights
Your privacy matters. As required by law (for example under GDPR in Europe or CCPA in California), you have certain rights regarding any personal data we collect. These rights include:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can ask us to correct or update any inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion: You can ask us to delete your personal data. For instance, Wix’s policy notes that users can request deletion of their personal information, and we will honor such requests where required by law.
- Consent Withdrawal: If you consented to any data use (e.g. cookies for ads), you may withdraw that consent anytime (for example, by adjusting your browser cookie settings or opting out of ad personalization).
- California Rights: If you are a California resident, you also have rights under the CCPA to know what information is collected, and to opt-out of “sale” or sharing of personal data. (Wix provides mechanisms like a “Do Not Sell My Info” page; similarly, we will comply with opt-out requests.)
- EU Rights: If you are in the EU, you have GDPR rights, including data portability and lodging a complaint with a data authority if you believe your rights are violated. To exercise any of these rights or ask questions about your data, please contact us (see below). We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Wix’s own privacy policy provides examples of these rights (for example, requesting a copy or deletion of your data) which align with how we handle requests.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the new policy on this page. Please review it periodically. As Wix advises site owners, “we reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time… changes will take effect immediately upon posting”. Significant updates (if any) will be highlighted here so you can see what’s new.
